The Place Called Home
Once upon a time there was a meeting of heart and soul, of two people whose life choices had brought them to a cross road, or rather near a roundabout in Paje, Zanzibar.
Joseph and Birgit happened to meet on the tropical Indian ocean island and it was indeed fated. Their travels and time together brought them back to the Tanzanian mainland which is embedded deep in their hearts.
Their shared vision is rooted in the depths of German hospitality and attention to detail and the ever warm smiles and kindness of East Africa. The understanding of family in society and the sharing of blessings with the community are the fundamental values of this partnership.
Heart and Soul Lodge was born of determination and endless hard work and the result is a tribute to their dedication to the business partnership and to the ancestry of the past and more to the heritage of future generations.
